August 8, 2016 – Kitchen Employee Medevac’d for Burns

Bridgewater, NJ- On Friday, 08/05/16 at approximately 5:37 pm, a 48 year old female employee was injured while working in the cafeteria at the Sri Venkateswara Temple located on Old Farm Road. She received burns to her hand and arm, when the top of a pressure cooker became dislodged spewing hot rice throughout the cafeteria. This employee was airlifted to Saint Barnibus Burn Center in Livingston NJ for treatment.

There is no criminal investigation regarding this incident. Both the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Bridgewater Health Department were contacted.
