January 19, 2016 – Quick Chek Robbery

Bridgewater, NJ – On 01/19/16 at approximately 3:10 am, the Bridgewater Police Department received a 911 call from the Quick Chek, 361 Union Avenue reporting that an armed robbery had just occurred.

When officers arrived, they found the store clerk unharmed.  She reported that a male had entered the store with a shotgun and told her to open the cash register.  He stole an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes, then fled the store on foot, last seen running eastbound in the parking lot.

The clerk described the suspect as a thin built male wearing a blue colored front zip style hooded jacket with the hood up, jeans, dark colored shoes or boots, light colored gloves and a nondescript mask covering his face.

The suspect has not been identified as of yet and the investigation is continuing.
