November 2017

On 11/04/17 at approximately 10:40 pm, officers responded to an activated burglar alarm at the Jiffy Lube located at 1316 US Highway 22 East. Officers discovered that the glass door to the business was shattered and an attempted burglary was discovered.  There were no proceeds taken.

On 11/07/17, Christopher Marshall (age 23) of Bridgewater NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant. He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On 11/07/17, a resident of Loft Drive reported that a vehicle parked at their residence was burglarized sometime in the overnight hours of 11/06/17. Unknown actor(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and stole a pair of sunglasses.

On 11/07/17, Janilly Perez-Matos (age 26) and Raymond Sierra (age 21) both of Newark NJ, were arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined value of $1,199.00 from the Microsoft Store at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Sierra was charged with Shoplifting, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and was found to have an outstanding warrant from Secaucus NJ.  Perez-Matos was charged with Shoplifting.  They were both processed for the arrest, bail was posted for the warrant, and both were released with a pending court appearance.

On 11/08/17, an employee of Bridgewater Chevrolet located at 1548 US Highway 22 East reported a theft.  A 2018 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 pickup truck owned by the business, had four tires with rims stolen from the vehicle.

On 11/10/17, Brandon Thomas (age 36) of Piscataway NJ was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), after being stopped for a motor vehicle violation on US Highway Route 22 East. After being processed for the arrest, Thomas was issued the following motor vehicle summonses and criminal complaints: Unable to Maintain Traffic Lane, Possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  In addition, he had an outstanding warrant from Avon-By-The-Sea NJ.  Thomas was released with a pending court appearance.

On 11/11/17 at approximately 9:40 am, a resident of 4th Avenue reported a burglary to their residence.  Unknown actor(s) entered the residence stealing cash.

On 11/11/17, a resident of Linden Street reported a theft. The rear license plate to her vehicle was stolen, while it was parked in front of her residence.


October 2017

On 10/14/17 at approximately 9:30 pm, a resident of Edison NJ reported that her vehicle had been burglarized while parked at 270 State Highway 28.  The theft occurred between 7:20 pm and 8:30 pm.  Unknown actor(s) smashed the front passenger window of her vehicle and stole her purse which contained cash, credit cards and personal items.

On 10/15/17 at approximately 9:17 pm, a resident of Langon Hollow Road reported a burglary to their residence. Unknown actor(s) entered the residence stealing jewelry and cash.

On 10/18/17, Juan Estan Arroyos (age 24) of Queens NY was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined approximate value of $391.00 from Sephora at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Arroyo was processed for the arrest, served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and was released with a pending court appearance.

On 10/21/17 at approximately 7:50 pm, Julio Ortiz (age 38) of Irvington NJ was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle complaint on Finderne Avenue. After being processed for the arrest, Ortiz was issued the following summonses: DWI and Careless Driving.  He was released with a pending court appearance.

On 10/22/17 Maxim Reinhart (age 18) of Bridgewater NJ was arrested at the Bridgewater Commons Mall for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) following a motor vehicle stop. Reinhart was charged with Possession of Marijuana.  In addition he was issued the following motor vehicle summonses: Careless Driving and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle.  He was processed for the arrest and was released with a pending court appearance.

On 10/23/17, an employee of Gerard Construction Corporation of Wall NJ, reported a theft of tools from 380 US Highway 22 East. The theft occurred between 10/21/7 at 12:20 pm and 10/23/17 at 7:15 am.  The total value of the stolen tools was approximately $5,400.00.

On 10/28/17 at approximately 1:00 am Amarasena Rupasinghe (age 57) of Metuchen NJ was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle crash which occurred in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Manor. After being processed for the arrest Rupasinghe was issued the following summonses: DWI, Refusal to Submit to Chemical Testing of his Breath, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Crash and Failure to Report a Motor Vehicle Crash.  He was processed and released with a pending court appearance.

On 10/29/17 at approximately 6:00 pm, a resident of Foothill Road reported a burglary to their residence. Unknown actor(s) entered the residence stealing jewelry.

On 10/30/17 at approximately 3:00 am, a resident of Mayflower Court reported an attempted theft of his motor vehicle. The resident was alerted via a home surveillance camera, which captured a black male dressed in a grey hooded sweatshirt, long pants and sneakers pulling on the door handle of his vehicle as it was parked in his driveway.  The vehicle was locked and the suspect fled on foot from the area.


September 2017

On 09/03/17 at approximately 6:08 pm, a resident of Manville NJ reported that her vehicle had been burglarized while parked at 215 Union Avenue. The theft occurred between 4:45 pm and 5:25 pm.  Unknown actor(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and stole her purse which contained cash, credit cards and personal items.

On 09/07/17, Jihad Bonds (age 22) of South Plainfield NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant.   He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On 09/07/17, Judith Best (age72) of Somerset NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $201.00 from the Home Depot at the Promenade Shopping Center.  Best was charged with Shoplifting.  She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On 09/08/17 at approximately 12:14 am, Debra Sillib (age 36) of Raritan NJ was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle crash which occurred on Interstate 287 North.   After being processed for the arrest, Sillib was issued the following summonses: DWI, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Report an Accident.  Sillib was processed and released with a pending court appearance.

On 09/09/17 at approximately 9:20 pm, a resident of Leghorn Avenue reported a burglary to their residence.  Unknown actor(s) entered the residence stealing jewelry and other personal items.

On 09/11/17, a resident of Chambers Court reported a theft.  Sometime between 09/09/17 at 8:00 pm and 09/10/17 at 4:00 pm, unknown actor(s) removed the front license plate with EZ Pass from his vehicle, while it was parked in his driveway.

On 09/12/17, Ezekiel Stepney (age 38) of Elizabeth NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant.   He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On 09/20/17 at approximately 11:40 pm, Gulia Gafurova (age 32) of Bridgewater NJ was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle crash which occurred on Vosseller Avenue.   After being processed for the arrest, Gafurova was issued the following summonses: DWI, Refusal to Submit to Chemical Testing of Breath, Reckless Driving, Failure to Keep Right, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Report an Accident and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.  Gafurova was processed and released with a pending court appearance.

On 09/22/17, Latwan Thompson (age 24) of Avenel NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant.   She posted bail and received a new court date.

On 09/22/17 at approximately 10:25 pm, a resident of Marie Avenue reported a burglary to their residence.  Unknown actor(s) entered the residence stealing jewelry and cash.


August 2017

On 08/07/17 at approximately 12:27 am, Caridad Diaz (age32) of Elizabeth NJ was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle complaint on Route 22 West. After being processed for the arrest, Diaz was issued the following motor vehicle summonses: DWI, Refusal to Submit to the Testing of Breath, Reckless Driving, Speeding, and Failure to Maintain Lane of Travel.  She was released with a pending court appearance.

On 08/13/17, Vileek Holmes (age 20) of Brooklyn NY was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $999.00 from Costco at the Promenade Shopping Center. Holmes was charged with Shoplifting and Resisting Arrest.  He was processed for the arrest and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On 08/17/16 at approximately 4:35 pm, a resident of Newmans Lane reported a burglary to their garage. Unknown actor(s) entered the garage, stealing a power tool and several “Snap-On” hand tools.

On 08/17/17, Hannah Williams (age 18) and Alexander Luciano (age 20) both of Bridgewater NJ were arrested on Old York Road for possession of Marijuana. Both were served with summonses for Possession of Marijuana, processed for the arrest and released with a pending court date.

On 08/17/17, Cruz Majano-Mercado (age23) of Plainfield NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant. He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On 08/19/17, Hugo Morales (age 32) of Bound Brook NJ was arrested for DWI after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on East Main Street. Morales was processed for the arrest and issued the following motor vehicle summonses and criminal complaint: Driving While Intoxicated, Careless Driving and Obstructing Administration of Law.  He released with a pending court appearance.

On 08/21/17 at approximately 9:10 am, a resident of Sebring Avenue reported that a vehicle parked in their driveway was burglarized sometime in the overnight hours of 08/17/17. Unknown actor(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet which contained $50.00 cash, credit cards and personal items.

On 08/22/17, Genine Delviscovo (age 40) of Bound Brook NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $68.00 from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center. Delviscovo was also found to have an outstanding warrant from Manville Municipal Court.   Delviscovo was charged with shoplifting and processed for the arrest.  She was taken into custody by the Manville Police for their warrant.

On 08/23/17, Sophie Friedman (age18) of Berkeley NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise valued at $117.00 from Sephora at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Friedman was charged with shoplifting.  She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending  court appearance.

On 08/24/17, Camilla Mishoe (age 34),Haseem Clark (age 20) both of Plainfield NJ, along with Latice Royster (age 33) of Dunellen NJ, were arrested for shoplifting. They stole merchandise with a combined value of $1,380.00 from Marshall’s at the Promenade Shopping Center.  All three were charged with shoplifting, while Clark had an additional charge of hindering his own apprehension.  All three were processed for the arrest.  Mishoe and Clark were lodged in the Somerset County Jail, while Royster was released with a pending court appearance.

On 08/24/17, Rina Kravt (age71) of West Orange NJ was arrested for shoplifting and theft by deception at Marshalls at the Promenade Shopping Center. The approximate total value of the merchandise she attempted to steal was $120.00. She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On 08/28/17, a township resident reported a theft of her bicycle from the TD Ballpark. The black colored Roadmaster Peak bicycle valued at $140.00 was secured with a lock, which was cut off.  The theft occurred between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.

On 08/26/17 at approximately 11:00 pm, a resident of Barrington Drive reported a burglary to their residence. Unknown actor(s) entered the residence stealing jewelry and electronic devices.

On 08/28/17, Marissa Londenberg (age 18) of Hillsborough NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $124.00 from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center. Londenberg was charged with Shoplifting.  She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On 08/31/17, Madison Triano (age 18) of Bedminster NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise valued at $171.00 from Sephora at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Triano was charged with Shoplifting.  She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On 08/31/17, William Soltesz (age 66) of Bernardsville NJ was arrested at the Bridgewater Commons Mall for being a wanted person out of Wayne County Pennsylvania. He was charged with being a Fugitive from Justice and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On 08/31/17, Rocco Greco (age 46) of Bound Brook NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $254.00 from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center. Greco was charged with Shoplifting and Criminal Mischief.  He was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.
