February 2018

On 02/01/18, Michael Smith (age 21) of Far Rockaway NY was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $100.00 from Footlocker at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Smith was charged with Shoplifting. He was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On 02/02/18, Johnathan Kersis (age 29) of Hillsborough NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $653.00 from Wegman’s at the Bridgewater Towne Center. Kersis was charged with Shoplifting. He was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On 02/02/18, an employee of the Apple Store located at the Bridgewater Commons Mall reported a theft. Unknown actor(s) stole two Beats headphones and computer software from a display area. These items had a combined value of $929.00.


January 2018

On 01/06/18, Justin Siroky (age 26) of Columbia NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined approximate value of $689.00 from Macy’s at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Siroky was processed for the arrest, served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and was released with a pending court appearance.

On 01/08/18, Jennifer Ferranti (age 34) of Somerville NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined approximate value of $1,599.00 from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center. Ferranti was processed for the arrest, served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On 01/09/18, a resident of Brahma Avenue reported a theft. A package was delivered to her residence on 01/09/18 at 5:33 pm that contained merchandise with a combined value of $17.00.  Unknown actor(s) cut open the package, and removed the items prior to her being able to retrieve it.

On 01/09/18, an employee of New Century Millwork reported a theft. In the overnight hours, unknown actors stole three saws valued at $1,200.00, which were being stored at 1271 US Highway 22 West.

On 01/10/18, Connie Lee (age 44) of Berkley Heights NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined approximate value of $114.00 from Sephora at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Lee was processed for the arrest, served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and was released with a pending court appearance.

On 01/18/18, a resident of Pinhorn Drive reported criminal mischief to two of their motor vehicles. A 2009 BMW 528i and a 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300 were damaged.  Unknown actor(s) scratched the exterior of both vehicles with an unknown object.

On 01/20/18, Omar Cruz (age 61) of West New York NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $353.00 from Costco at the Promenade Shopping Center. Cruz was charged with Shoplifting and Criminal Mischief.  He was processed for the arrest, served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On 01/22/18, Kevin Tabares-Navia (age 19) of North Plainfield NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined approximate value of $157.00 from Macy’s at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Tabares-Navia was processed for the arrest, served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and was released with a pending court appearance.

On 01/23/18, an employee of Frattellos located at 1357 Prince Rodgers Avenue reported a theft. A Glove Brand Meat Slicer valued at $2,200.00 was stolen from the business.

On 01/25/18, Delbert Caraccioli (age 33) of Piscataway NJ was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Vosseller Avenue. Caraccioli was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (Marijuana).  He was processed for the arrest, served with motor vehicle summonses for Maintenance Lamps and Possession of Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle, along with a criminal complaint for Possession of Marijuana.  He was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On 01/26/18, two separate residents of Doolittle Drive, two separate residents of Riddle Court and a resident of Stech Drive reported criminal mischief and thefts from their vehicles. In the overnight hours of 01/24/18, unknown actor(s) cut and removed the catalytic converters from a 1999 Honda Accord, three 2002 Honda Accords and a 2005 Toyota Camry.

On 01/26/18, David Markussen (age 53) of Somerville NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant.   He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On 01/27/18, a patron of the Marriott located at 700 Commons Way reported a theft of their motor vehicle. In the overnight hours of 01/26/18, unknown actor(s) stole a 2018 black Chevrolet Impala from the hotel parking lot.

On 01/29/18, Qwae Richardson (age 26) of Plainfield NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant.   He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.


December 2017

On 12/06/17, an employee of Bed Bath & Beyond located at the Promenade Shopping Center reported a theft. A white male wearing a black jacket with black pants removed a pair of electronics toothbrushes (valued at $268.00) from a display area.  He then fled the store with the toothbrushes.

On 12/11/17, Richard Rivera (age 52) of Bound Brook NJ was arrested for on outstanding warrant out of Pennsylvania. He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail, he is now awaiting extradition.

On 12/11/17, an employee of Target reported a theft of merchandise. A white male wearing a black/purple coat, removed two vacuums valued at $598.00 from a display area in the store.  This male then left the store without paying for the vacuums.

On 12/12/17 at approximately 3:00 pm, a resident of Pearl Street reported an attempted burglary to their residence. Unknown actor(s) attempted to forcibly enter the residence, damaging part of the exterior.  The suspect was unsuccessful in gaining entry.

On 12/12/17, Symone Hogan-O’Connor (age 28) of Somerset NJ was arrested for shoplifting merchandise valued at $394.00 from Lord& Taylor at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Hogan-O’Connor was charged with Shoplifting and Possession of Marijuana.  She was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

On 12/13/17, a resident of Yorktown Road reported a theft. An unknown suspect stole a package containing a pair of two-way radios valued at $59.00.  The radios were delivered to the residence during the daytime hours and the thief removed the package prior to the resident coming home.

On 12/14/17, an employee of Pearl Vision located at 329 US Highway 202-206 reported a theft. A black male wearing black jeans, black jacket and silver colored sneakers removed a pair of frames (valued at $350.00) from a display area.  He then fled the store with the frames.

On 12/16/17, a resident of Somerset Avenue reported an attempted burglary to their vehicle. The resident observed a male wearing all dark clothing with a white/beige colored winter knit cap, inside their unlocked vehicle.  The resident yelled at the suspect, who then fled on foot.  The suspect was not located and did not take anything from the vehicle.

On 12/17/17 at approximately 10:00 am, a resident of Village Circle reported that a vehicle parked in their driveway was burglarized sometime in the overnight hours of 12/16/17. Unknown actor(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and stole a cash and electronic equipment.

On 12/23/17 at approximately 9:10 pm, a resident of Henry Street reported a burglary to their residence. Unknown actor(s) forcibly entered the residence.

On 12/27/17, Edmund Bowen (age 61) of Branchburg NJ was arrested for DWI after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on North Bridge Street. Bowen was processed for the arrest.  He was issued motor vehicle summonses for Driving While Intoxicated, Faliure to Maintain Traffic Lane, Reckless Driving, Faliure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle and Refusal to Submit to the Chemical Testing of his Breath.  In addition, he was charged with a criminal summons for Obstruction of Justice.  He was released with a pending court appearance.


November 2017

On 11/04/17 at approximately 10:40 pm, officers responded to an activated burglar alarm at the Jiffy Lube located at 1316 US Highway 22 East. Officers discovered that the glass door to the business was shattered and an attempted burglary was discovered.  There were no proceeds taken.

On 11/07/17, Christopher Marshall (age 23) of Bridgewater NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant. He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On 11/07/17, a resident of Loft Drive reported that a vehicle parked at their residence was burglarized sometime in the overnight hours of 11/06/17. Unknown actor(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and stole a pair of sunglasses.

On 11/07/17, Janilly Perez-Matos (age 26) and Raymond Sierra (age 21) both of Newark NJ, were arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined value of $1,199.00 from the Microsoft Store at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Sierra was charged with Shoplifting, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and was found to have an outstanding warrant from Secaucus NJ.  Perez-Matos was charged with Shoplifting.  They were both processed for the arrest, bail was posted for the warrant, and both were released with a pending court appearance.

On 11/08/17, an employee of Bridgewater Chevrolet located at 1548 US Highway 22 East reported a theft.  A 2018 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 pickup truck owned by the business, had four tires with rims stolen from the vehicle.

On 11/10/17, Brandon Thomas (age 36) of Piscataway NJ was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), after being stopped for a motor vehicle violation on US Highway Route 22 East. After being processed for the arrest, Thomas was issued the following motor vehicle summonses and criminal complaints: Unable to Maintain Traffic Lane, Possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  In addition, he had an outstanding warrant from Avon-By-The-Sea NJ.  Thomas was released with a pending court appearance.

On 11/11/17 at approximately 9:40 am, a resident of 4th Avenue reported a burglary to their residence.  Unknown actor(s) entered the residence stealing cash.

On 11/11/17, a resident of Linden Street reported a theft. The rear license plate to her vehicle was stolen, while it was parked in front of her residence.


October 2017

On 10/14/17 at approximately 9:30 pm, a resident of Edison NJ reported that her vehicle had been burglarized while parked at 270 State Highway 28.  The theft occurred between 7:20 pm and 8:30 pm.  Unknown actor(s) smashed the front passenger window of her vehicle and stole her purse which contained cash, credit cards and personal items.

On 10/15/17 at approximately 9:17 pm, a resident of Langon Hollow Road reported a burglary to their residence. Unknown actor(s) entered the residence stealing jewelry and cash.

On 10/18/17, Juan Estan Arroyos (age 24) of Queens NY was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined approximate value of $391.00 from Sephora at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Arroyo was processed for the arrest, served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and was released with a pending court appearance.

On 10/21/17 at approximately 7:50 pm, Julio Ortiz (age 38) of Irvington NJ was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle complaint on Finderne Avenue. After being processed for the arrest, Ortiz was issued the following summonses: DWI and Careless Driving.  He was released with a pending court appearance.

On 10/22/17 Maxim Reinhart (age 18) of Bridgewater NJ was arrested at the Bridgewater Commons Mall for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) following a motor vehicle stop. Reinhart was charged with Possession of Marijuana.  In addition he was issued the following motor vehicle summonses: Careless Driving and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle.  He was processed for the arrest and was released with a pending court appearance.

On 10/23/17, an employee of Gerard Construction Corporation of Wall NJ, reported a theft of tools from 380 US Highway 22 East. The theft occurred between 10/21/7 at 12:20 pm and 10/23/17 at 7:15 am.  The total value of the stolen tools was approximately $5,400.00.

On 10/28/17 at approximately 1:00 am Amarasena Rupasinghe (age 57) of Metuchen NJ was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle crash which occurred in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Manor. After being processed for the arrest Rupasinghe was issued the following summonses: DWI, Refusal to Submit to Chemical Testing of his Breath, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Crash and Failure to Report a Motor Vehicle Crash.  He was processed and released with a pending court appearance.

On 10/29/17 at approximately 6:00 pm, a resident of Foothill Road reported a burglary to their residence. Unknown actor(s) entered the residence stealing jewelry.

On 10/30/17 at approximately 3:00 am, a resident of Mayflower Court reported an attempted theft of his motor vehicle. The resident was alerted via a home surveillance camera, which captured a black male dressed in a grey hooded sweatshirt, long pants and sneakers pulling on the door handle of his vehicle as it was parked in his driveway.  The vehicle was locked and the suspect fled on foot from the area.
