Mission Statement

To plan for and maintain a state of emergency preparedness in order to provide for and manage emergency operations to meet the needs of Bridgewater Township and its citizens.

To carry out emergency operations efficiently and diligently, whether addressing an act of criminality or terrorism or the effects of  natural or man made disasters.

To develop response capabilities needed to coordinate Police, Fire, EMS, and Public Works emergency services  designed to address the onset of or the effects of an emergency or disaster.

In the event of an emergency or disaster, conduct short term recovery operations to restore critical services to the Township and provide for basic needs of the public, and conduct long term recovery operations focused on restoring the community to its normal or improved state.

Carry out mitigation activities that reduce the undesirable effects of unavoidable hazards and reduce the probability of a disaster.
