If your car has been impounded for:

• Suspended License

• Suspended Registration

• Uninsured

* HAVE VALID VEHICLE INSURANCE DOCUMENT *
* HAVE VALID VEHICLE REGISTRATION *
* 2 DRIVERS WITH VALID DRIVERS LICENSES *

You must respond to Police Headquarters to have your documents verified. You must obtain a Bridgewater Police Tow Release form before your vehicle can be released.

For faster service please have your license plate number ready, case/incident number and when and where your vehicle was towed from.

If your vehicle has been impound for DWI (39:4-50):

You must wait twelve (12) hours from the time the vehicle was impounded for it to be released.

If your vehicle was impounded due to involvement in a crime:

Contact the detective handling the case.

Tow Fees and Schedule:

All allowable fees shall be the maximum fees permitted by the New Jersey State Police and shall be updated as appropriate by Township Council action to reflect the newest maximum allowable rates permitted.
