June 14, 2018 Incident at Bridgewater Commons Mall

Bridgewater, NJ – Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, Chief of Detectives John W. Fodor, and Bridgwater Township Chief of Police Alfred Nicaretta announce that on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 6:27pm Bridgewater Township Police responded to a fight in progress call at the food court located within the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  Bridgewater Mall security were able to seperate the individuals involved in the altercation  which continued onto the exterior parking lot area of the mall. As officers were responding, a call of shots fired was reported to police.  The report of shots fired is under investigation and has not been confirmed at this time. Bridgewater Police officers along with Detectives from the Bridgewater Police Department and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office are on the scene and conducting the investigation. There are no injuries to report at this time, no arrests or suspects have been identified. The area is secured by law enforcement.
