On Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 0310 hours, the Bridgewater Police Department responded to East Main Street, in the area between Morton Street and Chimney Rock Road, to investigate a motor vehicle crash involving a struck pedestrian. The pedestrian. Later identified as Traci Carreker, was struck by a silver 2001 Volvo S60 operated by Michael DiMaria.
Carraker was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. DiMaria was treated at the scene for a minor injury.
The crash is still under investigation by the Bridgewater Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
