Bridgewater, NJ - The Bridgewater Township Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau is investigating a motor vehicle crash that occurred on June 19th, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m. The crash occurred on State Highway 22, eastbound east of Chimney Rock Rd in the local lanes. The crash involved a 2015 Chevy Equinox, operated by Zachary Severini (26 years old), from Franklin New Jersey. The Chevy Equinox drove off the roadway, onto the grass on the southside of Rt. 22 and struck a utility pole.
Members of the Robert Wood Johnson Rescue Squad responded to the scene to render aid to Severini, who suffered injuries to his head, neck, back and legs. Severini was transported to RWJ New Brunswick for serious but non life-threatening injuries.
